For occasions when only a classic sultry smokey eye will do – the New CID Smokey Classics Palette has all you need! To dial up the glamour, simply follow these easy steps.
The Smokey Classics eye palette comes with a double ended eyeshadow brush, using the larger flat head of the brush, sweep Moonlight all over your eyelid from lash line to browbone. The intense pale silver shimmer tone will act as a base to instantly neutralise redness or discolouration on the lids and act as a prep for your next shade of eyeshadow.
Using the same brush end apply Starlight through the socket. Simply pick up the colour on the tip of the brush then nestle the bristles in the crease of your eyelid before blending side to side letting the brush do all the work. The larger size of the brush will give you a “blown out” smokey effect to the socket avoiding any harsh lines. The cool gunmetal grey tone of Starlight will act as a contour shade creating shape and definition as well as acting as a transition shade to blend darker tones more easily.
Define the “outer V” of your eye using the small bullet end of the brush to apply a little of the Midnight shade. Start in the crease under the arch of your eyebrow and shade in the outer V area bringing the colour down onto the outer 3rd of the lid slightly. The navy toned grey enhances all eye colours and is a modern twist on the classic smokey eye. You can also run this shade along the lower lash line for extra glamour and drama.
To really amp up the smokiness, add a tiny amount of Eclipse using the small brush to the inside edge of your Outer V. Eclipse a very intense matte black and a little goes a long way so remember to blend a little at a time before adding any further colour.
Clean up any small mistakes or fall out of shadow under the eye with a pointed cotton bud try defining the upper lashline with intense black i-flick liquid liner and inside the waterline using the kohl pencil included. finish with two coats of lash lengthening i-flutter mascara to complete the look.
